Teachers Recruitment Board of Tamilnadu has conducted Tamil Nadu Teachers Eligibility Test (TNTET) Paper I on 8th June 2019 and Paper II on 9th June 2019 . The results for the TNTET Paper II Exam was published on 20th August 2019 and result of Paper II Exam was published on 21st August 2019.
In TNTET Paper I Exam, out of 1.62 lakh candidates who wrote the exam, 551 candidates only cleared the exam successfully. Out of them, 441 candidates were women.
In TNTET Paper II, out of 3,79,733 candidates who appeared for the exam, only 324 candidates cleared the exam successfully.
Nearly 99 % of the candidates failed to secure the required cutoff. The reason for this large number of failures is said as the tough questions from out of syllbus
So, now the expectation of the candidates is for a fresh Teachers Eligibility Test.
Today's (28-08-2019) DT Next newspaper says the positive news that the TRB may conduct new TNTET Exams again this year. According to the news report, a senior official from Teachers Recruitment Board has informed that, the TRB is carefully examining the representations by Teachers Associations and decission to conduct the re-exam will be taken after verifying all facts.
